Scope lens fogging

I purchased a pellet gun that came with a nitrogen filled optical reticle scope, however the damn thing fogged up on me this morning. I’m wondering if something as simple as the anti fog wipes/spray for glasses and automobiles would suffice or if I need something tailored more towards firearms.

I would use a product specific for camera lens.
Glasses and windshields aren't coated like camera and scope lenses are.

Looks like they have stuff called scope dope which is a paste and a spray made for optical lenses. Also read online if I keep the scope outdoors it’ll stay at the proper temp to prevent fogging.

Leaving a weapon outside is a bad idea for both safety as well as maintenance.

I kept it in my trunk inside a case and had no issue sighting it in today.
