A school district in Pennsylvania has decided to arm their teachers... with 16 inch baseball bats. I guess the idea is to swat flying bullets back in the direction of the shooter. And, maybe the students can be given catchers mitts, too.

Myself, I'd be inclined to give the bat back (with specific storage instructions), and just keep a fire extinguisher under my desk. Still not ideal, but more useful than a mini-bat.

Lol... like they'd let me be a teacher, anyway.

Good grief... What a joke. I don't want to face off with a shooter, even if I have a gun... but I will if I have to. Who the heck is going to be able to defend themselves with a bat? Just dumb.
