Stop Trump/BATFE From Violating the Constitution!

Folks, we need to spread this message far and wide. President Trump is asking the BATFE to ban bump stocks, classifying them as a machine gun.

We need to take action, not only because it impacts our Second Amendment Rights, but because the POTUS and BATFE do not have the authority to write law. It is the role of Congress to create legislation. The President is trying to seize power that is not his to take.

Also, the petition from the AG actually LIES about how bump stocks work. The petition says "such devices allow a shooter of a semiautomatic firearm to initiate a continuous firing cycle with a single pull of the trigger", which is a lie. The gun fires 1 bullet per trigger pull.

Additionally, the petition says "these devices convert an otherwise semiautomatic firearm into a machinegun by functioning as a self-acting or self-regulating mechanism that harnesses the recoil energy of the semiautomatic firearm in a manner that allows the trigger to reset and continue firing without additional physical manipulation of the trigger by the shooter.

This is also a lie. The shooter has to provide continuous repetitive input to the rifle in order to pull the trigger ever time a shot is fired. The rifle fires, the recoil energy moves the rifle backward, and the user MUST push the weapon forward again, allowing the shooter to pull the trigger again. If the shooter does not push the gun forward, the trigger is blocked and the shooter can not fire another shot.

Please comment on this proposed rule, letting the government know we will not tolerate government over-reach and passing laws based on lies.

I agree with ya Mark but bumpstocks are a forgone item at this point.

Given the MSMs influence on the Z generation I think November could yield less than favorable conditions.

"Keep fighting the good fight" is gonna get real in the near future.

Has nothing to do with bump stocks and everything to do with what is legal and just. I don't own any bump stocks and don't really care for them. However, that doesnt make it okay for the DOJ to seize power it does have on an order the President isn't empowered to give.

The legislature makes laws. Not the POTUS via executive fiat If this is aloud to go through, we will officially have a dictatorship; votes and Congress will be worthless.

Thats why I am so upset. I don't care what party has power. If we let them get away with it, than we're screwed. We have to be heard and we have to let the government know that we're not going to let them violate our laws and our rights.

I don't think anyone disagrees with you, Marc, but this may be a tough one to win. I think the lefts will stretch the words until they cover the bump stock action and it will become classified as a machine gun. Just MHO.
