21yr old CHP

My 21yr old son just put in his app for CHP. He just turned 21 a couple weeks ago. The most exciting aspect of turning 21 to him was getting a CHP. Being able to purchase alcohol was secondary.

My 24yr old has had his CHP for 3yrs now. My 18yr old is the only non-CHP holder in the family

Im curious to see how long my 21yr olds' app takes. When I originally applied for mine, I received it in 10 days.

We are all crossing our fingers for National Reciprocity. All of my boys are in the military & my daughter lives out west. Needless to say, we all travel a bit...

Awesome! Glad to hear it! We need more good people who are going to represent the 2A crowd.

My son is 19 and he can tell you exactly how many days it is until he can apply. LoL

Congrats.
I am not plugging for any insurance, and not asking for people to name companies, but how many of you that carry have self defense insurance? I do.

I am curious too but before posting I did a quick search. Here are a couple sites with published prices:

https://www.usconcealedcarry.com/offers ... scca-today

https://www.concealedcarry-ccw.com/Conc ... rginia-VA/

and the NRA but no pricing:

Cost in Rockbridge County is $30

My experience with multiple people has been 10 days for an average time it takes to process. My boy is counting the days...lol

So, just to follow up.

Submission date: 18 Dec

Issue date: 3 Jan

Not bad. Certainly not the 10 days we were used to but, more than likely delayed for the holidays. Still.... not a bad turnaround.

Yeah, he's pretty pumped about it. Something he's looked forward to for years.
