Some activist has suggested that door to door gun confiscation would be "surprisingly uneventful" :

I would propose that it would go at least as smoothly, uneventfully, and successfully as illegal drug confiscation has....

When Dems rewrite history, it has an impact. In this case, they are trying to get a lot of good people killed.

I dunno. Once their intentions became known, things could get interesting.

Well this guy does have a little point in what he is saying, some communities would put up a fight while others would. You don't believe me, take a look at what the NAZI PIGS and the military did in neighborhoods after hurrican Katrina. Don't give me any garbage either about how it was for the rescuers safety, they didn't go into "tha good", but wealthy white areas and dissarmed them!

I remember that. That was BS. I would have never tolerated that.

A nationwide confiscation effort, for no apparent reason, would likely go over a lot differently.
A lot of people took note of the aftermath of Katrina. Some said, "Hey, that's some BS, right there." Others noticed that some were noticing the BS level, and were reminded that, indeed, that was BS. Hopefully, should door to door confiscation actually occur, folks will recall Katrina, and not fall for that nonsense.
Of course, there will be that group that just figures, "Well, Uncle Sam giveth the right to have guns, and now he shall taketh away." They will likely be the same group that believes that it's all about hunting, anyway.
I think, though, that once word got out that it was happening, the second day may not go as smoothly as the first.

Yeah, Granny may not have been able to avoid a confiscation due to the size of her attacker, but forewarned is forearmed.

It might be uneventful for some unfortunate folks who they get the drop on but once word gets out there's going to be A LOT of folks hunkering down locked and loaded with everything they got.
Personally I'd be likely to go one of a few bug out spots in the country and hunker down with like minded patriots.

There are stories from Katrina that DID NOT make the news! There is a working class neighborhood in Algiers, right across the river from the Quarter. Mostly construction, truck drivers, etc, etc.
Well, my pal Rudy, and his wife Dionne live in one of them neighborhoods, and they have what is called a "pass through" road. So the police, national guard took notice that they had blocked the road with their dump trucks/semi's and put up "patrols" with a neighborhood watch.
A Lt, and two Unis pulled up to the roadblock, two of the watch guys got out of the vehicles, and asked them what they needed.
The LT said "I'm here to confiscate those weapons, and write ya'll up for blocking a thorough way. " He had the two uni's behind him with their hands on their pistols.
One of the guys takes the walkie talkie, simply said "Situation on the north end". Within 3 minutes according to Rudy, all the men poured outta their houses armed to the teeth, and half headed to the north end, the other to the south end (because they're smart).
The Lt sees about 10 guys armed with AR's, AK's, and what-not... and starts commanding orders. Keep in mind, this is 4-5 days AFTER Katrina, with NO support from FEMA, NO support from Local guv'mint, much less the National Guard... and this assjacket LEO has people dying in the 9th ward, but is worried about his "thorough fare".
The two uni's? Readily realized they're facing 12 men armed with semi-auto rifles with high cap mags, and no confusion over whose in charge this point. They get into their patrol cars, and the Lt looks back when the cars START, and LEAVE HIM!
The LT said as he left "I'll be back! You can bet on that!" The patrol said nothing. They didn't threaten, they didn't provoke... they just stood their armed, and in defiance.
By the way? They never came back.. .and the National Guard guys just went "uh... Hi guys! Be safe!" and drove off.
So Mainstream Media can run their mouth, and people can say that it'll be easy... but when good Americans stand TOGETHER? Criminals never win. Ever.
Everything they do is in the dark! Look at the guys they're attempting to prosecute for being armed over that "Bundy Farmland" situation! Didn't do ANYTHING while they faced cameras and armed resistance. Came back later with warrants trying to get people to rollover on those folks.
I'm not advocating anything, but I'm flat out saying. We ARE Americans, and we're BETTER than Venezuela, or Australia, or England. We will not rollover and play dead, but they will do shady things for revenge.
