Sheriff Fred Newman has announced that, effective July 1, 2017, all non-mandated fees associated with obtaining a Virginia Concealed Weapons Permit in Washington County will be waived. According to Sheriff Newman, Washington County citizens will no longer be charged the $25 local processing fee and will only be required to pay the $15 fee mandated by the State of Virginia.

“As Sheriff of Washington County, VA, I am a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights and I feel this reduction in cost will ensure that our law abiding citizens are always able to protect themselves in accordance with the law,” stated Sheriff Newman. “Several months ago we began providing free concealed weapon classes. These classes have been very well received by our community,” stated Sheriff Newman. “Waiving this fee is one more step towards assisting our citizens in their applications for obtaining a lawful permit.”

This should be everywhere, yet this corrupt and inept system wants to remind us that we are all slaves in having to pay for the constitutional right!
