Today i was in a chat with a person in Malaysia in the chat site for another forum and the subject of their flag came up.

try the republic of Palau, and Japan. And then note all the forgien aid they got from japan about the time they were transitioning from a US territory to an independent nation.
I think Only 3 countries have a single circle on solid color background flag.
