CC in DMV

Twice in the last few weeks I've had to go to DMV and noticed the "No Firearms" sign posted on the entry door and at one or two places inside. It specifically mentions in the fine print that "open carry" of firearms is prohibited.

My question is, does anyone know if it's legal to CC there?

I would say it is NOT ok to cc in the DMV. It might change after this month.

Here is also a good resource however I don't see DMV mentioned.

It is difficult to determine and far too serious to make a mistake...so most don't carry as much as we should or would like.

@Wittmeba; in regard to your last paragraph of the above posting:

I think the laws were written that way on purpose, to encourage that sort of response. "Wow, that's not too clear. Best play it safe, and refrain from carrying".

It's almost as if we are being manipulated into disarming ourselves. Whether we do so cheerfully or begrudgingly, the end result is the same.

We're responsible, law-abiding people. We don't want to break the law, and we don't have the time to deal with the consequences of accidentally breaking the law. So, we err on the side of caution.

Of course, we behave that way, and I certainly don't advocate behavior to the contrary.... But, at the same time, I hate, despise, and loathe the notion that we are being manipulated by our servants.

I fully agree and believe the libs want to keep it that way.

That's interesting. That RVA link was from '15 and the sign I saw looked exactly the same as the one in that article except for the small print. It did NOT mention CC, only openly carrying a firearm.

Now I wish I had taken a picture to prove I'm not crazy...lol.
