GM didn't realize this possibility going in? If not, they are really too stupid to be successful in business. How did Venezuela get into the oil business? They allowed oil companies to find and drill, then nationalized oil production.

Not really.. people voted Trump to drain the swamp, but it looks like he is drowning in the swamp.
Like one of my country ex-residents, at the end of his only mandate: "I was defeated by the system".

I would hope that someone at GM realized the possibility and ran the numbers on how fast the ROI would be vs the likelihood it was seized.

Jake, one might hope that would be the case, but even an iron-clad agreement in an unstable region makes bean counters qualify their projections.
