Blue Ridge Arsenal just opened across from Bass Pro in Ashland, it's an indoor range.

Just opened, so they're kinda filling the place, but it's OPEN!

I hope they do a better job than the people at the Chantilly location. I actually had a lady a few lanes down shoot the I-Beam on the ceiling. The lead ricocheted back at me and hit me in the throat. It burned the hell out of me and if it was a steel core, I would be dead right now. I complained to the lady, and her boy friend threatened to kick my @$$ if I said another word to him or "his girl". The RSO was right there and saw everything. I said "Are you going to do something about this?" The RSO just shrugged and walked away.

I went out in the sales floor, cancelled my annual membership and never went back again.

Considering that CSA is the best rated range in the nation, they better step up if they want to stay open.

Damn, Marc. Did you contact management over that, and include the name of the RSO? I'm not sure how I'd go about trying to rectify the initial incident (perhaps require some extra safety training, if they wanted to continue using the range), but the attitude of the woman's BF would have gotten that pair kicked out. From a purely business viewpoint, they are a lawsuit waiting to happen. From a more personal viewpoint, they'll cause a major injury, eventually. Either way; not good. Not clientele that I would want or need. This is a case where management needs to know exactly why you left.

That's another reason why I much prefer private ranges; if I'm at a friend's property, or on family property, I have a much better chance of knowing the folks who are shooting along side of me.

Minutes after it happened, I did explain to the on-duty manager why I cancelled my membership. He seemed totally uninterested. So, now I just warn everyone I know to stay the heck away from them.

Yep. BRA sucks. Never shoot there, never buy there.
