Interesting turn for Black Friday.

I haven't really seen anything spectacular in the circulars, or ads. Is anyone seeing anything that really stands out as a "fantastic" deal?

I think they were betting on HiIlary taking it, and having a mad dash...

there are lots of "anderson lowers" just gonna be sitting awhile.

I haven't paid any attention; I never do. They could cancel Black Friday, and I wouldn't notice.

It took me 2 years after I came here to learn that Black Friday does not worth the time to look around for deals. They always tend to promote stuff I don't need.

the only thing that even works into my favor are the $10 ammo cans at Bass Pro... even with a 5 can limit (Per time), it helps keep things separate. Contemplating another 5 just to make one a survival kit, one a tool kit, and three for just in case.

And I stumbled onto Winchester 1000 round bulk pack at Wallyworld for $50.00 haven't even seen any 22lr in months, and now it seems to be popping up all over.

Palmetto is offering HK VP9's for 450 delivered, that is nearly $100 of the regular price... good deal in my book.

My local Wallyworld still has a sign, limit 3 boxes of .22lr, as of yesterday.

my local gun shop has > 30K .22 LR and MAG on the shelf, with no limits. We don't need no wally-world to go shoot.

I went to the local Field & Stream (Dick's version of Bass Pro?) with my son to try to grab a $200 ruger 10/22. Pulled a number, looked up, and had 46 tags ahead of me. At 10 minutes a tag.

So not worth it. But I was out and about I figured I would take a look.

In the end, instead of spending a few hundred bucks on rifles, I'll be spending a few hundred bucks on body work - I got sideswiped on the way home.

Ow... hope your accident wasn't serious. I used to stay home on Black Friday; and that's part of the reason why. Now, I just hope that I can avoid urban areas on Black Friday.

I took the dog on a nice 5 mile hike in PW Forrest today. I hate this time of year. I still have errands to run and stuff to do but now i have to deal with the masses. [emoji35]

It wasn't. American steel prevailed over older Accord. Little bit of body damage, but mostly paint.

What I'm more pissed about is that I knew better to go out and I did anyway. Shame on me.

Is it bad that I'm contemplating a cheapo AR to keep in the vehicle for sh'ts-n-giggles? $469 for an Anderson base model at Town Police, and Supply. That's pretty inexpensive.

@Monkey: I've had two American steel cars get sideswiped. Both were parked at the time. My best friend sideswiped my '73 Galaxy in a Saturn as we were riding by where I had it parked on the street. No damage to either vehicle, aside from a small buffable scuff on the Saturn. The other time, some girl in a Honda, visiting my neighbor, sideswiped my '90 Brougham De Elegance in my driveway. Her car got a sizable gash, mine got a black streak that required a bit of elbow grease to get off.

Don't be too hard on yourself; we all act against our better judgment, from time to time.

@Rev: Go for it. Couldn't hurt.

It's a decent base rifle that's complete sans optics, but I just couldn't justify it.

After tags, taxes, and title, it's gonna run $500, and I just don't have that for a "spare AR".

Now, they had a pistol lower for $300 complete, but I cannot pull the trigger on that either.

(sigh) Hate being poor with expensive hobbies.

I just wish my Jeep was secure enough to keep one of my ARs in it on a regular basis. Soft top is to easy to cut open and get in. No good place to hide it either.

Also, i would be forever taking it in and out of the Jeep with all the FED property i visit for work.
