Someone suggested the addition of a "Meet and Greet" forum so that people could set up meetings and outings, etc. It was further indicated that due to that size of the region that this board encompasses, that it makes sense to have a place for people to set up such meetings since we're all (mostly) within a couple hundred miles of one another.
My question is - do the current "Regional Forums" already take care of this for us? Would you prefer a totally separate forum for meeting announcements and the like, or would you prefer to use, for instance, the Richmond Regional Forum to set up a meeting in Richmond?

I don't know that the regional forums would completely cover it. Typically I wouldn't look at a regional forum outside of my region. I think there may be a chance of something being missed if it is within regional forums.

May be a good idea. I don't think my region is even covered in the "Regional Forums" .
Re: [Poll] Meet and Greet forum?
I think maybe having an additional area for meetings or gathering wouldn't be a bad idea. We can use it for big events open state wide for anyone willing to travel. However, maybe still allow members to post smaller scale local event in the regional forums.

Interesting - I thought I had Virginia pretty well covered with the regions that I chose. I guess I could create a new regional forum called "Right smack in between Richmond and Roanoke"Vahunter wrote:May be a good idea. I don't think my region is even covered in the "Regional Forums" .
