so why not hunt small game with your edc pistol and big game with your combat rifle, hmm? cause you aint good enough?
My M1A killed all my deer back when I was deer hunting in WV. I did some deer hunting with my 03A4, too, but just never seemed to see deer when I had that rifle out. I did knock a crow ass over ears at 600 yds. one day. One mountain top to the side of the next mountain over, across a big holler. Didn't kill it, it just flopped around for awhile, attempted to take off several times before finely fluttering up onto a tree limb. Then I did miss it on the second shot. The best long range shot I almost made, is what I call it. Oh, those 180 grain Sierra match bullets sitting on top of IMR4350 was "the load" in my 03A4.
Down here, in a lot of VA, you can't deer hunt with a rifle and no where in the state can you hunt with your .223/5.56X45 AR15.
Deer can't tell the difference between a bolt action rifle and a semi-auto rifle anyway.
Why in hell would I shoot a squirrel or rabbit with a high velocity .40 hollow point and lose my empty when I can shoot them with my Ruger Mk1 5.5" bull barrel (like I used to when I was still hunting?)
