Trump offers something important that is being ignored, IMO

What is it about Trump that scares the establishment politicians and bureaucrats so much?
That he’s “unstable and dangerous”, sometimes says things some folks consider outrageous, and used to be associated with the entertainment business? He wouldn’t be the first POTUS who was accused of all that. Ronald Regan (as a candidate) comes to mind. Remember the open-mike joke about bombing Russia (or whatever it was)? Remember the musing about “what happens if our world suddenly was under alien attack? Remember “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down that wall”? What disasters did any of that bring about? None. The guy won the Cold War. Of course Kennedy, Clinton, LBJ and many others were serial philanderers both before and during their occupancy of the oval office; taking wild risks with the dignity and security of the office, and it didn’t disqualify them. JFK apparently had a relationship with a foreign spy in time of war; or so the story goes.
Is it because he is too confrontational? I call BS on that. If the current POTUS and his administration were a little more confrontational than they are now, perhaps we wouldn’t now be the doormat of the Middle East, and perhaps Russian and Chinese military airplanes and ships would not be quite so provocative towards our own. Perhaps all of Central America might not be using the USA as a dumping ground for criminals, drugs, orphans and indigent people. This list is limited much more by time and space than lack of further examples, but enough said.
As I’ve stated before to many of my friends, the very idea that lack of “political experience” disqualifies one from the U. S. Presidency is repulsive to me; and ought to be repulsive to all of us. They are ALL supposed to be “Citizen Legislators”. Of course, they are not. We now have a de facto ruling class in the country; and they are the professional politicians and bureaucrats. They have even established several “Schools of Government and Public Policy" in various Ivy League bastions around the country. Just as we have the POTUS as a civilian Commander in Chief of the military as a curb on the military and a safeguard against a military takeover, I think it would be an EXCELLENT IDEA for the POTUS to also be a non-politician, non-bureaucrat for the exact same reason. The idea that a POTUS might actually possess practical understanding and experience of operating businesses (as opposed to Wall Street arbitrage and earnings-skimming mills that create value only for the speculators), and would know how and be disposed to fix the real economy without regard to vested interests is one I find very seductive. I’m sure it scares the hell out of Wall Street. I don’t care. The rest of you mere taxpayers shouldn’t care either.
HERE’S THE BOTTOM LINE AS I SEE IT: What I think it is about Trump that scares the bejesus out of the political and bureaucratic establishment happens to be the one thing I think is most needed in our bloated, inefficient, criminally wasteful and corrupt government.
I am speaking about ACCOUNTABILITY!
Trump is famous for it. If you don’t perform, no matter WHAT your celebrity status may be, YOU’RE FIRED. About four years of that applied to what’s gone on in the federal government for decade upon decade now would be a very good thing for those of us who are mere taxpayers. And the political and bureaucratic establishment knows it.
Honestly, Mr. Trump was not my choice of the potential nominees. The one I thought most capable and best qualified for the job must have been one of the least likable and least popular in the crowd, But I truly believe Trump is vastly superior to the present alternative for our next POTUS. God help us if she gets elected. At the end of her first term,. The USA will be well on its way to becoming Venezuela with snow.
