Hi from California!

Hey, everyone,
I'm checking in from Los Angeles, but I lived in Virginia Beach most of my life and visit twice a year. You must be shaking your head in pity for me... (sigh) Well, the move was inevitable since I'm trying to break into the animation and visual effects industry. Anyways, I'll be popping in once in a while to see what's up in my home state.

California is a beautiful place, LA...not so much..... You might want to try Orlando, Fla.... Disney has a HUGE animation studio there.....plus, less taxes and better gun laws... win , win situation...

I chose a career as a 3D Artist in film and video games, so it was inevitable that I would end up here. There's a few studios scattered around the country, but since our industry tends to work on a project by project basis, it makes it harder to find work unless you're at the center of it all. Another option would've been NYC, but I think we can all agree that even CA's firearms laws are preferable to NYC's.

I actually lived in Orlando for a while... that's where I went to school for 3D. Unfortunately, Disney closed their animation studio in FL a while back, and there's not much work in my field over there.
