Selfdefense situation? Would it be justified?

Ridiculous how you can't support your own candidate, because maybe a mob of the opposite side may lynch you for it.

My wife wanted to put a Trump sign in our yard. While it wouldn't be out of place (I see a lot of Trump signs in my area, and no Clinton signs, to speak of), I'm still not comfortable with the idea. I'm not home enough, and Clinton supporters are vandals, thieves, arsonists, and murderers.

I keep my vehicles fairly sticker free for similar reasons.
