Looks like Alexandria wants to rename Jefferson Davis Highway and remove the Confederate Monument:

I wonder how many of these folks who want to do this are actual Virginians? Or, are these just meddlesome carpetbaggers who just can't leave things as they should be?

I would say they are Carpetbaggers....They move south for a cheaper retirement , then want to change everything here to be like up north .

More likely they are fedgov employees (aka leeches) goose-stepping to the SJW marching band.

I am sure the people that want to rename it are possibly fedgov employees, but not necessarily leeches... I have supported our military in one way or another for years and many things would stop running with out our civilian and contractor employees supplying the few that are still on the front lines of fighting terror and or building new equipment. So not all of the fed govies are leeches. fwi.. just had to point that out.

My guess is that the ones pushing for the changes are not all fed employees, but are all carpetbaggers.

I've said it before: What this country needs is MASSIVE unemployment in Northern Virginia and southern Maryland. It would be a huge disruption to the economies of those states, but bith would be vastkly improved in the long run.

I hate Carpetbaggers. Hate them.

Alexander sold over 6,000 citizens of Thebes into slavery after razing the city. Alexandria, being named after Alexander, should change it's name if slavery is so repulsive. Thebes is available.
