Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

Driving home on Route 28 today, and I am cut off by a guy whose personalized license plate is his favorite gun; he has gun stickers on his vehicle. OK, he's a self-centered asshat, and typical [strike]Northern VA[/strike] self-absorbed driver on the road.

Then I see him swerve over to cut off several other cars, flick trash out the window, and shoot a finger to a guy that rightfully honked his horn at him.

All the while, I keep seeing those damned gun stickers, and I'm thinking, "poop, this is what people are going to think when they think of gun owners."

If you were that guy today, please, for the love of all of us... STOP. We need to always, always be the good guys, the gentlemen, the polite. I know, it is an extra burden that is not fair, but that's realpolitik.

(shakes head) People choose the group, unfortunately, we cannot choose the people.

All we can do? Deny his claim. "NOPE! He ain't one of us."

Nah, we've chased quite a few "Troll -folk" off this forum because we have decorum as a rule... We argue, but we don't name call, and we provide facts, and logic, not cliche soundbites.

However, I think there are times we're a tad more conservative than other groups. Someone from the "left" may not feel comfortable here.

I hope he didn't have a VCDL or VGOF sticker.

I doubt he is a member... A little too in-your-face, while we seem to be generally a little more low key.

Then again, he was a OMG GLOCK IS BEST fanboy....

Us vehicular operationally challenged, finger flipping, butt flicking asshat gun owners are hurt by the prejudice and intolerance manifested by y'all mainstreamers.

I feel the same level of annoyance when I see vehicles plastered with Christian themed stickers being piloted in the same way.

I see that sort of behavior all over the country, now. It could be some redneck kid in a pickup, a leftover Wiccan hippie in a Prius, a yuppie in a Beamer. I see company vehicles with names, logos, and phone numbers being driven recklessly about. Even my fellow truckers have joined in the trend. Many truck drivers have turned into bullys; tailgating small vehicles to intimidate them into speeding. (I love when they pull the same stunt on me; somehow, it's just not that scary )

Welcome to our new world. Everyone is self absorbed. Every immediate want and desire must be granted the moment we think of them.

It's straight out of the Book of Satan, actually. The main idea of that book, is the worship of self. Each reader is their own god. And, what we live in, is a culture of self worship.

My posts were in jest, but I have to ask if by, "rightfully honked his horn at him" you meant as a reasonable warning because use of a horn other wise is unlawful in Va.

I whole-heartedly agree.
We have to be on our best behavior at all times, so as not to give the gun-grabbers any excuse to say, "see, I told you they were dangerous".

Go back after dark and cover hs gun stickers with religious stickers then put a couple on his doors, just out of love.

This is why I go "greyman" 90% of the time.

The only give away MIGHT be the paracord bracelet on my Right hand, or the multitool, flashlight, pocket knife, lighter gear on my belt, if I wasn't a fatazz, and wear hang over shirts.
