I realized today I get a huge discount on Sig Silencers. So I ask my wife about it...
Me: "I think I am going to sell one of our safe queens to buy a silencer or two."
Wife: “As long as you don't sell my shield, P238, 10-22, Circuit Judge, Lady Hunter or the Mark III, you can do whatchoo want!”
Wife: "Oh or my trail revolver"
Hmmm... I thought the trail revolver and the Mark III were mine... How did this happen?

She's just claiming them if you're willing to part.

Heh - your wife sounds like mine. It's my birthday, I go to the gun show, she gets a new Walther. Funny how that kinda thing turns out.

Sometimes you just have to do it ! I have been selling a few that I thought , in my younger days that I would never sell .....I guess life changes and we see things differently . In today's world I think it makes good sense to sell a firearm you just do not shoot to be able to purchase something you will use a lot. I sold and bartered several to make large ammo purchase's .

Been there, done that, have the teeth marks to prove it!
I built up a lightweight AR for my wife to
use, only to find out (the hard way) that I now have to ask permission to use it!

Many of us, it appears, are fortunate.
My wife is typically agreeable to any firearm related purchase; so much so that I have occasionally had to say "NO".
The downside is that all guns belong to her.
Truthfully, though, it doesn't matter. If I need a firearm for something, it's there, and it will be irrelevant who has laid claimto the thing.

When this thread started I was telling Carol about your interest in silencers , she then ask me if we had any . I said "you haven't seen any , have you ? " She has been shooting our Rock Island TCM .22 a lot and since it is so loud she ask if we could install a silencer . I told her " they don't make a silencer to fit it .

So what type of suppressor are you getting?
I am looking at this one:
http://www.silencershop.com/liberty-mystic-x.html
I like the above since it comes apart for cleaning and can work with many calibers. Does any one have a different one that can handle 308?
thanks

Sitting at the supper table last night, wife behind me finishing up cooking. Told her I wanted a silencer. She asked, "For what?" I said, "For you." She doesn't own any guns. I never heard the iron skillet coming.
