I'll not quote it here so as to not violate copyright.
The author lists ten points I think we all agree with.

Some good thoughts. Although, I do wonder what world he lives in, if he thinks that smokers are not vilified.

I wonder what world he lives in thinking the Left will listen to him about freedom of firearms?

They do not like people being sheepdogs, unless the sheep are under attack.

It's hilarious when you're "Lectured" by Progressive/Communists on it being "macho ego" that you want to carry... until we're in a situation, and the first comment is to look at you and ask "YOU HAVE YOUR GUN WITH YOU, RIGHT?!?"

 It's why i no longer hang out with the Prog-Commies. Again, you cannot do it for yourself, but expect others to care for you.

I've got a left-leaning buddy. His parents are leftover hippies; they even named him after an openly communist author. And, of course, he lives in Seattle.

I don't really think that he's thought it all through, though. But, he's been surrounded by regressivism his whole life, save for a brief period that he lived in North Carolina in the late 90's (which is how we became friends). Indeed, I may be the only conservative that he knows.

I have my work cut out for me.

I don't know... I think it is still a useful exercise. There are some still young and figuring it out, who have the philosophical ideal that "liberalism" is about freedom. That and who knows what seed will get planted that, under the right conditions, will grow. If no one does it, then they are just left with their little echo chamber, able to believe that no one disagrees with them. Glad there is someone who does it... although it is probably a pretty thankless task.

Some good reading there, but I have one question. That question pertains to No. 6, "homes with firearms are more dangerous". My question is to whom are those homes more dangerous? To the average person, family member, respectful visitor I seriously doubt it. To bad guys, burglars, break in artists, and other miscreants they should be. Break into my home intent on doing harm and it may be the worst mistake of your life, no matter how long or how short that may be. We'll take care of business and after every thing is safe then 911 will get the call if my wife isn't calling while I'm taking car of business. Yes I am trained to clear buildings with unknown assailants in them.
