Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

We've all seen forums that have reputation points, i.e. people can positive or negative rep other members for their post content and whatever other reasons they desire, I guess. What do you guys think of this feature? Should I add it?

I am not a big fan, never seen a real benefit except maybe when it comes to classifieds.

I'd have to vote No too... then I'd have to be nice all the time, and that's just too much pressure

hmm..interesting. I expected more of a positive response to this one. Anyone else care to weigh in?

I can't see any reason for it. So I'll say no.

I didn't see an option for "Meh" so I didn't vote. I am ambivalent on this one.

JMO, but I don't think that it is necessary.

I've been on far too many sites where the system has been abused and surreptitiously eliminated. It only works for "trade" sites (SlickDeals.net comes to mind) but otherwise it just turns into a doofy popularity contest.

The decision has been overwhelmingly made NOT to add a Karma/Reputation points system to the Virginia Gun Owners Forum.
