While good and all. If you ever plan on leaving WV you'll still need a permit that carries reciprocity. I know I know, we should even need a permit to carry. But most states still require one so that is where we are.

Every time I read a discussion like this I can't help but wonder how gun owners carry concealed without nary a concern about permits and reciprocity? I mean, I know it happens but it's like a tree falling in the forest. If no one knows, does it really matter?

And before you say it, I wouldn't want to get busted carrying somewhere I shouldn't either. But it's still a thought.

It is. I'm sure there are people who, for instance, CC in church. Others CC in places that clearly prohibit such activity. They are playing the odds. Until such time as we are allowed to fully exercise our rights under 2A, this will continue. You don't hear about people being arrested for this activity, do you? That means the odds are in our favor. Just sayin . . .

AGREED! "Police Discretion" might play a role. Most front-line, non-political types are looking for REAL bad guys. If you "Ooops" a CC into a prohibited area, they might just ask that you quietly leave...

My Mother carries in Church. The local Sheriff recommended that Mom obtain a letter of permission from the Preacher. I suppose that such a letter would serve to make it easier on law enforcement, in the event that Mom shoots some terrorist invader, or something. The letter was easy enough to obtain; Dad, being the Preacher, wrote her one.

I guess that it helps when the Preacher is a 2A absolutist.
