Virginia Gun Owners Forum - VGOF

Just heard 1' - 2' is headed our way .....Is everyone ready ?

Working snow thrower - check
Firewood - check
Alcohol in several forms - check

Yup! We're ready!

No snow for us, just rain. Thanks Obama.

We got about an inch of snow last night, and the entire nova/dc metro area roadways pretty much shut down. Back-ups for miles, several collisions occurring each minute, ice accumulating quickly...it was ridiculous, and all for 1 inch. VDOT is hit or miss each year, and it's always disconcerting.

No pre-treatment, no salt trucks, no insight on this one.

Tomorrow should really be a riot

(shrugs) Welcome to Virginia.

Where Hindsight is 20/200. (shakes head) THANK YOU T-MAC! YOU'D RATHER WORRY ABOUT INSIGNIFICANT SHIZNIT IN PLACE OF THINGS WE ALL HAVE NEED, AND CONCERN!

(slow clap started for that asshat).

2-3 inches here yesterday/last night. Low 20s. Warning up today, then they're calling for 8-12 inches between Friday evening and Sunday. SWMBO's threatening to go rent an apartment where it's warm next September.

need to get 5 gal of gas in case I need to run jenny. Got 4 cords of wood in the pile, and the wife says she has enough food for a month, or 3.

Got 2 plows/blades/buckets on 2 loaders.

ship is loaded with rum.

game on.

Yeah, REC is sending out prognostications of outages. The OWB takes two loads of hickory a day in the worst weather. The generator provides power to get the heat into the house. 4x4 will make it down the drive but blowing it hastens the melt. Food and drink, we got some.

McAwful Declares SOE

The Virginia Department of Transportation has 4,000 trucks mobilizing Thursday, pre-treating ahead of the storm and staging along interstates, major roads and in subdivisions. VDOT and the governor say people should stay off the road before and during the storm, to allow crews the space they need to work.

Snowmageddon 2: Return of Snowpocalypse!

Seriously, we had a clipper come through last night. The media called it "the Inch of Doom". It dropped less than an inch and it was almost completely gone by morning. There were over 200 accidents reported in Prince William County allow and millions of dollars in property damage.

No wonder why people around here think 18 to 25 inches is the end of the world. Hardly anyone around here can survive an inch or two! SMH

O.M.G. - We're all going to die!!!!

Why couldn't we have had snowmaggedon on election day? I'm talkin' about the past one where McAwful got elected!

That would have been nice. LOL

Bumble sez - WHAT DAY IS IT?!!!

Party on, VGOF ers

A Canadian Tactical Snowman complete with blank firing attachment and MILES transmitter.

Today is Ugly Sweater day at the range!

Makes me laugh to see the people buying 10 loaves of bread and mountains of toilet paper...

How much sandwich-eating and toilet-sitting do you expect to be doing the next two days?!

The essentials to be aware of are: beer, liquor, wine....hmmm, yeah, that about covers it!

I am just south of Columbus, OH, today. I'm catching the edge of what's getting y'all are getting. It's 19 degrees outside, my reefer is in heat mode (to warm it back up to 30), and my landing gear is near about froze. I had to fight that landing gear to make it move.

I might end up sitting all day, if snow really starts coming down.
