In case you were wondering just how bad the coming economic decline is going to be, this pretty much sums it up. Time to gird your loins.

Looks to me like that would lead to another problem, as in getting one's undies in a bunch.

Not a good week with Wally World closing stores, the market in the crapper and the bottom falling out of the oil business. Has anyone worked up enough nerve today to look at their 401k plan?
I think I need to go update the "What are you drinking" thread.

lol I guess if people are still putting money into their 401k plans after 2008, then they really haven't learned anything. Dow Jones was down 2.2% for all of 2015, but that's just "dollar cost averaging."

My stash of .22LR is performing better than your 401k plan.

It was company owners idea to shift from the unsustainable pension system to the 401k program.
It was your idea to actually put money into it thinking it's a sustainable retirement vehicle.

When I was 20, I worked at a plastic factory. I remember being offered a 401k by a guy who told me that he would have sold his soul for a retirement package like that, when he was my age. I didn't take it. Still don't have a 401k.
I'm suspicious of programs with vague or numeric names. Especially when such programs want my money.

I do a lot of deliverys to brand new Walmarts, as well as refurbished Walmarts.
I wonder what bearing this will have on my job? If the past few months are any indication, I'll likely be just as busy, only the scenery will have a very slight change.

Bowser and several members of the DC City counsel have the nerve to say in an interview that they have strong reason to believe that the cancellations are racially motivated.
Yea, a 47 year old company that has 11,598 stores in 28 countries, employing 2.2 million people, has decided not to open two stores in DC because they hate the black people in DC. It makes perfect sense. That has to be it. I mean, why would they want to keep selling stuff to Blacks and other minorities? I guess the 269 stores that are have been open and are now closing is because they hate black people in those areas too. It has nothing to do with revenue. Its not like they make up an estimated 59.8% of their clientele. Oh, wait; they do make up an estimated 59.8% of their clientele.
Muriel Bowser and the DC City counsel are the biggest bunch of racist F'tards I have ever seen in my life!!! How do these morons get elected?!?!

Looked at it yesterday...down twelve hundred from Jan 1.
I'll bounce back, though....my investing isn't overly aggressive as of late.

About 17 years ago, I lost $180,000+ from my 401k in less than 60 days. Never invested since.

the only way I get the company money is via the 401k, so I'm in to get their money.
