On January 11, Democrats in Georgia’s state house introduced a bill that bans “assault weapons” and opens the door for the “seizure” of such weapons, along with accessories like “high capacity” magazines.

Check this out - the bill bans barrel shrouds that prevent the user from being burned.

I guess Virginia is not the only state with a legislative silly season. Much like a kidney stone, this too shall pass.

So, tell me again why I should just go to an FFL for an AR and not worry about it? Yeah, I know, I'm on their list already for three pistols and a muzzle loader I bought through FFL's. The muzzle loader they won't come after, and probably not the pistols either. But an AR puts a target on me.

I can't imagine a bill like this being introduced in the VA legislature while the R's are in control, but like Snakester, I don't trust them much either. McAwful would sign something like this in a heartbeat. That's what makes me nervous.

We need a revolution. Not a violent one, but a political one. I don't trust the DNC or the GOP - there are enough idiots on both sides to agree to something like this in the Old Dominion.

We need a culture change. More accurately, we need to restore American Culture back to what it was, pre-60's (or further back). I don't mean, of course, that we should go back to segregation, rotory phones, and snail mail; rather, I'm talking about a culture of American greatness, a culture that values individual people.

Our culture has been destroyed. The state of politics is reflective of that. Unless we get our culture back, we will continue to lose political headway.

The last interview he (she?) gave covered both issues. He's still got his junk, and he's still a Republican. I'm undecided as to which one is more disturbing.
