Re: Lee - Jackson Day
I wonder why there are no events at Lee Chapel ?

That was the plan. A memorial service for General Lee, at Lee chapel, where he is interred, was deemed inappropriate by the university.smltooner wrote:I wonder why there are no events at Lee Chapel ?

In my opinion, it's a special kind of stupid to declare a memorial service at his grave site, under the chapel bearing his name, on the grounds of the university bearing his name is deemed inappropriate. It's strictly a mud in your eye gesture from a university that is ashamed of it's own history/heritage.
