To Bill O’Reilly on Fox News

You are wrong, you stated on your show that since we have to register our cars and we should have to register our guns, having a car is a privilege and having a gun is a right.
Don’t forget your history, China, Russia & Germany all required that they register their guns and how did that work out for them?

I can't believe I'm gonna say it, but the man just went a notch down on the popularity scale for me.

I've never liked him. His personality grates my nerves, and when he called George Will a "Complete Liar"... I wrote HIM off completely.

O'Reilly is a pompous ass, much like those he chastises. Before he called George Will a liar and a hack I would have given him the time of day. No longer.

Pompous ass; that's the phrase I was going to use.
I gave him a little benefit of the doubt, as he's from NY, but then he did such a poor job on "Killing Reagan", I just can't take him seriously.
Incidentally, this isn't the first time that he's been wrong on guns.
My cousins; their heads explode when I tell them that O'Reilly is too left wing for my tastes.

He is definitely too far left for my taste.

He spends too much time in the middle of the road for my taste.

Arrogant middle of the road piece of....well you know.
That it is a human right is precisely why we should not have to register it. Should we have to register to join a church or a civic organization? How about to write a newsletter?

Federal registration is against the law.
Screw him.

Middle of the road is too far left for me. It's also just plain wishy-washy.

In agreement.
Similar to applying for a CCP in order to conceal?
It's just another way for the state to 'tax' individuals for rights that are given at birth.

Middle of the road is a good place to get run over.
Stand up for something....right or wrong, right or left.

I was just browsing the audio books in a Pilot truck stop; they had several of O'Reillys books on the shelf.
He did such a poor job on that Reagan book, I just can't take any other book of his seriously. It's a shame, really. The topics all interest me, and non-fiction is so hard to find in the truck stops.

Considering that Abraham Lincoln was entirely a tyrant, and did not try to find a peaceful solution to the War betwixt the states, and O'Reilly fawns over him like Abe was a rock star...
....that was enough for me to finally take notice of his bias.
Then going off on George Will who was IN THE REAGAN ADMIN was the final straw.

Years ago, when I first started watching Fox news, I liked O'Reilly. But he has become increasingly arrogant, overbearing and opinionated; and it seems to me he leans increasingly leftward. He also either flat out lies about facts or is pretty ignorant of some of the things he pontificates about. Between him and Hannity's overt partisan yammering, I grow increasingly dissatisfied with Fox News. But then when I try to watch the pap that the other news channels and the MSM are purveying, I am forced back to Fox.

It's only a matter of time before Fox News either goes under or is forced to re-invent.
News channels these days are crap; pity.

I would be very interested in a station that offers opinion free news. News that doesn't omit relevant facts, or add fictitious facts. Isn't that what news is supposed to be? A presentation of facts? Facts that answer the questions of who, what, when, where, and how?
Hell, I don't trust any media outlet to present straight up, unbiased news, anymore, and I doubt that I'd trust any new outlet, either.
