This story is so slanted, full of lies, and misrepresentations that I suspect that the author and paper could be easily sued or, at least, censured. (Note: that's spelled correctly, not censored. Different word.)

A day at The Nation’s Gun Show in Dulles

The Times-Mirror could not find any vendor who required a background check for purchasing firearms, even semi-automatic handguns or rifles.

Frank Demith of Ashburn carried a Kriss Vector carbine, one of a series of weapons that was developed from a submachine gun design, as well as a 50-caliber, semi-automatic pistol. Several unlicensed dealers walked the floor with automatic rifles strapped to their backs, “for sale” signs inserted into the barrels.

At a nearby booth beyond tables of automatic rifles, the Virginia Citizens Defense League signed up new members. The state’s dominant gun lobby, described by Herring in 2013 “as being more radical than the NRA,” sought signatures on a petition enabling gun owners to tote firepower everywhere in Virginia, including outdoor festivals, schools, government facilities and college campuses.

Did the people at the VCDL table see all the automatic rifles?
At least the VCDL got some decent (IMHO) press.

On a personal note, I watched part of Zero's speech and I don't remember seeing tears "streaming" down his face. I did wonder if he had a onion in his hand.

How do those jerks sleep at night? What a bunch of bold faced lies. They basically made stuff up and called it "investigative journalism".

They live by the mantra... "By any means necessary".

Which is just liberal progressive slang for, We lie like a cheap rug from K-Mart.

If Herring told me that I was "more radical than the NRA ", I'd probably take that as a complement.

Really, though, terms like "radical", "extremist", "absolutist", etc. aren't necessarily a bad thing. I wouldn't shy away from them.

I remember when Eleanor Clift said that the VCDL "...made the NRA look moderate". I'm sure the VCDL took that as a compliment.

Wow, just wow. I've seen some bad reporting but he just flat out lies. At least most of the anti gun journalists can use clever wording to hide that they are outright lying to our faces.

No surprise. Loudoun is the new habitat for the left. Add them to this list - Norfolk/Newport News, Charlottesville, NOVA, and now Loudoun/Leesburg. They all helped elect our carpet-bagger in Richmond, and our liar-in-chief.

I'm not effin' kidding... it I win the Powerball... I'm leaving the Commonwealth. I have to find a better state than the current infested one...

Either that, or I'll run ads to convince CONSERVATIVES/LIBERTARIANS to move to the Commonwealth.
