Hi - I would like to buy a pistol in used, but very good condition to save a few $. From my research, I'm only interested in the following models as they are inexpensive and seem to perform reasonably well, even if called "ugly" by reviewers:

In order of preference (either, not both):
(A) Hi-Point 45ACP model# 34510 or 34511L (https://www.wikiarms.com/guns?q=hi-point+45+acp)

I've never owned a gun before and I don't trust my skills in determining good from bad. So unless it's obviously like new, I would prefer to meet at a gunsmith and pay to have the gun inspected for proper operation and then pay you in cash or bank/certified check (your preference). I'm happy to show government-issued Virginia ID and a recent utility or phone bill to demonstrate that I'm a legitimate VA resident. I have a clean record as well.

I can afford to buy a few accessories as well, so if you have a holster or some extra magazines (I just learned the difference from "clips") or whatever, I could probably buy those too.

I'm interested in up to 3 if the price is right as I have both a friend as well a neighbor who each want one and after some discussion, we agreed that it made sense to standardize to help troubleshooting, etc.

If you are dead set on the Hi Point Brand, you can buy them brand new off of gunbroker.com for $160 to $190, plus your FFL shipping fees at what ever gun dealer or shop you are going to use. As an avid gun owner and shooter, I honestly would try and to steer clear of Hi-Point fire arms due to their prolific reputation for inaccuracy, and over all tendency to break. if you were to raise your budget to lets say $300/ $350 there are a ton of 9mm/ .380 ACP and some .40 caliber semi-autos in very good used condition out there.

With that said, they are made in the US, they do have life time warranty, they are extremely affordable and for a first time entry level buyer it would be an "ok" gun to cut your teeth on. Also before anyone else jumps on this tread and goes all heals on a Hi Point owner here, remember its the gun you have when you need it, not the gun you want that counts....

I actually own one of these Taurus Millennium Pro Sub Compacts in .45 ACP as my daily CCW. It is very accurate up to 12 yards or so due to barrel length, extremely reliable, easy to carry, and easy to break down to clean. Just showing you that there are other guns out there with in your price range
