The Daily Mail, one of the UK's tabloid rags, made a lame attempt to shock it's readers with images of Americans and the guns they got for Christmas. Be sure to read the comments section, and don't miss the chick with the "anti-tank gun".

I posted the following comment on the site twice and it got deleted both times...
The people in the UK that are blaming guns for mass shootings, crime and murder in the US need a quick education. First, the US has a much more violent culture than the UK. It has nothing to do with firearms. In fact, if we remove ALL gun related murders in the US, we still have 6 times more murders than the UK. And that is using things that are not firearms.
Second, the top deadliest mass murders in US history were done with explosives and fire... not guns.
Third, since 1933 to 1994, more gun laws went into place and murder rates went up. From 1995 to now, more and more gun laws are getting repealed, more states are passing laws allowing the carrying of arms, and the murder rate is not back below what it was in 1933, for the first time in 82 years.
People need to be able to defend themselves... guns are the best way to do that today.

LEO's aren't there to pre-empt crime, because they can't be there when it happens. They can only show up after a crime has been committed, or in rare circumstances, during the commission of a crime. Waiting for LE to show up is tantamount to waiting to die. I choose to take action before that happens. Screw the panty-waisted, bed-wetters.

Not only that, but by law, police have zero obligation to actually help you. The statutory law and case law has defined this explicitly.
Something I fined ironic is that case law and statutory law say if we as citizen fail to help someone or fail to follow an order from a police officer to help someone, we. Can be held criminally liable.
Fortunately we have great men (mostly) in law enforcement, so this is normally not an issue, but I find the hypocrisy in the law is right in tune with Lib mindset. If it wasn't for double standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all.
