Only babies, and dogs make me smile anymore...

Dunno what that says about me, or what is says about the world.

...that is all, Carry on.

For some reason, I know exactly what you are saying! Were you born in 1952 ?

That's because no one else is trustworthy. I am always kind to children and animals because they're innocent. No one should ever be too busy or stone hearted to pet a doggy or make a child laugh!

I have several friends, all of us born in '52 . Saturday we were talking about how so many things have changed in our lives and what things really matter anymore. I'm sure the Henry McKenna was talking as much as we were. Rev just seemed to be on the same track !

My "pup" and my Grand Son make me smile. But so do:
My family
A full can of ammo
Recoil
R/C mini helicopters
Watching a Super Mutant's head explode
A damned fine Scotch
Episode IV
Turning the alarm off
I could go on. But, ultimately, God granting me another day on this rock to enjoy the above and so much more.

Lots of things make me smile. Some things make me burst out in uproarious laughter.

I have to seek out those things fairly frequently, otherwise I'd find the world around me to be depressing.

Also, in relecting on Paul and his letter to the Philippians (specifically, Philippians 4:11), I figure that if Paul can be content in a Roman prison, I can be happy in my own circumstances.

Well when I watch the news I get tmj and full blown flare ups (those are ugly and potentially dangerous). So I can't watch the news.

My kids make me smile. My dog makes me smile. My husband makes me laugh. Many small Kindnesses that still exist in this world
Make me smile.

But I know where you are coming from. If Hillary gets in I don't know what to do because we won't survive as a nation another 8 years of betrayal.

I was born in 1969... raised by "Depression Era" parents. They talked of being "poor", and their poor, is not THIS poor.

And Dogs, and babies are the only things that bring a smile because, indeed, they are innocent.

Other things have complications, but me being goofy with a dog, or a baby, brings them happiness that I cannot raise in others without riders attached.

Firemanbob.. pardon my language... Screw Cats. I like a "barn cat", but otherwise? It's living in a household with a 14 year old Cheerleader on her period, after her boyfriend broke up with her.

Nope!

That has got to be the best description of a house cat that I have ever heard. I like other people's cats just fine, but I refuse to live with one.

Incidentally, TBH says that her Xbox makes her happy, because it's mindless.
