I don't know how folks tell each other apart in this state.
Every man that I see is sporting a massive bushy beard, tan plaid flannel shirt, black skull cap, jeans and work boots.
TBH is yelling and cursing loudly about hipsters. She hates hipsters.

Heh heh.
Yeah... Spokane. I guess everyone here has an actual reason to be dressed like lumberjacks.
What's really funny, though, is that TBH assumes that full beard = hipster. As a matter of fact, since I haven't shaved since my wedding day, she is accusing ME of hipsterism.
Watching her rant about it is hilarious.

You won't find many hipsters among the Eastsiders, at least until you get over to Missoula. Spokane is full of the guys the hipsters are trying to copy.

You're talking about my home town.
I graduated from high school in Spokane fifty years ago.
Fifty year reunion was this summer.
A few years later, after I'd seen some of the US thanks to the Navy, I started describing Spokane as the most populous small town in the country.

As with most towns that I pass through, I can't speak to much outside of the warehousing part of town. And the local truckstops.
The truckstop, which was a Flying J, had a locally operated restaurant, which is rare. Usually, Flying J has a Denny's, so that was a nice change of pace. Considering the layout of the place, I guess that it started out as a local operation, years ago, and struck a deal with Pilot/Flying J for the fuel brand. Seems to be a survival tactic that's been used by a few other truckstops in the Northwest.
I like the area; just can't deal with Left Coast politics.

Uh-oh. Better stay away from TBH. I have a really full beard!
My niece once accused me of being a hipster. I asked her what the hell is that? She said it's someone with a full beard who wears very casual clothes (jeans, sweatshirts, flannels, etc.). I told I was dressing like that before it was fashionable. Jeans and t-shirts (sweatshirt in cold weather) are my BDU's. Never had a job that I had to "dress" for.
