The problem is, the masses want to be controlled. Most people think they are not willing or able to do things for themselves, so no one is able to. The fact that every free society has collapsed due to the people failing to take action, allowing tyrants to control the masses, I have no choice but to believe people want to be controlled. Unfortunately, that means the few true believers of freedom get dragged in with the sheep. And we are usually the ones who bleed to keep what freedom we have.

I fear it may be too late to save the republic. But the collective voted for it. What can we do? Education doesn't help, since we are called liars and crazy bible thumping gun huggers. Nothing is left but surrender or fight, and no one is fighting.

I run into people who, while capable of critical thought and polite discourse, only hear the left side of things. They go with it, mainly because they're busy with work and kids, and keeping up with the house. Besides, the Government has it all under control, right?

I have found that, often, I can talk to that type of person and plant some seeds of conservatism. But, you have to be careful. Be respectful of their point of view. Don't say things like "Let me tell you why you're wrong "; human pride will cause them to reject what you say. Instead, communicate that you see where they are coming from, then say something like "let's examine this from a different angle".

Education DOES help, if you word things right. And, for me, it's a one-person-at-a-time kind of thing. It's a slow process, requires patience. What we're seeing is the culmination of a plan to deteriorate the American Morale, that I believe has been at work since the end of the 1st World War. (I used to think that it started at the end of WWII, but a book on Gen. Patton has me thinking that it's been going on longer )

We are not going to undo many decades of brainwashing overnight. Keep working to the best of your abilities, exercise patience (says the very impatient man), and keep praying.

It's not bad enough to wake up more people.
While welfare checks still come, our success is limited.
