Hi, I had posted another question here and had great feed back. So I decided I am going to be moving to VA soon and get out of NJ. I currently have both FL and UT out of state ccw permits. If I change my driver's license to VA can I carry concealed with my permits or do I must wait till I get issued my VA ccw permit?

As I understand it, you can carry concealed with your valid FL or UT permit as long as it meets the requirements as outlined in 18.2-308.014, which you can review below.

As simple as it is to obtain a CWP in Va, I would suggest getting one regardless of your other permits.

If you have a DD214 Honorable Discharge from the Military that is all you need.

If no DD214 you can take an online course for $20.00.

The permit cost me $15.00 and I took the oath 4 days later and was handed a laminated permit good for 5 years.

Pretty simple. You will love Virginia!
