Just sent to Home Depot.

Not that it will matter more than a mouse fart in a typhoon, but I did it anyway.
"Not that it matters, or not that the collective "you" at Home Depot would even understand, buI am going to complain anyway - it makes me feel better. I just visited my local store (8552); the in store audio system was playing spanish speaking radio. I believe it was the canned HD station. Very discouraging. When are you going to lower the American flag and raise a Mexican/Salvadorian/other flag? And, I am also fairly sure you are now labeling me a racist. Whatever. Enjoy the "disappearing America" while you can."

They're just pandering to their customer base. Besides...

Only latinos, harry homeowners, and idiots go to home depot. They sell crap, period! Real carpenters go to smoots and other lumber yards, it's more expensive but their lumber is leaps and bounds better. Their tools as well.
But yeah that is BS!

I've never cared for HD ....No particular reason , I have always preferred Lowe's ....I like getting a 5 percent discount on every purchase on my Lowe's Card . HD does have a great price on Timberline Roof Shingles , but other than that it's Lowe's! Most everyone in Lowe's does speak English even though they do have all their signs in Spanish.

Most guys don't particularly care for Home Depot. It's designed to appeal to women.
I stopped spending money there when I discovered that they support caused that disagree with me. Fortunately, those causes also disagree with TBH, so she won't go there, either.

Don't like either one of them. Unfortunately, most other hardware stores are part of the two national chains. Have to do that just to survive. The lumber sucks because it's wet. The pressure treated stuff sometimes drips, it's so wet. And they way they stack plywood . . . if some of these guys had half a brain, they'd still be half-wits.

I have to admit though, I do like going to HD when they have the free el perro caliente and las palomitas.

Had to go there yesterday to pick up "emergency tarps" by mom.... HATED ... IT!
They have no semblance of order, and no one can help you.
Went to Lowes when I got home to pick up Chainsaw fuel... 2 seconds. In, and out the door! (shakes head)
I miss Tru-Value, and I love Pleasants Hardward in Downtown Richmond, but neither were close.

I'm always down for free food! Perro caliente w/mustard and onions for the win!
Seriously though... haven't spent a dime in HD in 15+ years. Their stuff sucks, their employees are rude, and God forbid you have an actual problem with the store or a transaction that needs resolving. Your gonna need an attorney.

When I lived in Williamsburg, I always went to Ace Hardware first, if I needed that type of store. The employees were always friendly and helpful, and it was easier to find stuff.
Oddly, though, their small engine repair guys were horribly rude and unhelpful. That may have been why I just started fixing my own lawnmowers.
