I'm a little slow

It has finally dawned on me that I am a little slow sometimes.
I have finally decided that Obama has 2 methods for deciding what he does.

1. He wants to piss off as many people as possible.
2. He wants to see just how far he can push the American people before they start pushing back.

I could not believe when I read this news story.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/ ... story.html

Obama to nominate first openly gay service secretary to lead the army.

So much for "Don't ask, don't tell".

How far do you think this will get?

So, I may go against the grain here... but I have to wonder, did Obummer do it as an antagonistic step or is the guys truly qualified? I don't think this dude's sexual preference should be an issue at all for a position like this. It should not be a determining or contributing factor in the appointment. I don't know anything about this process. Is it normal to nominate civilians? That troubles me a bit. LOL

I don't know why it is an issue with these thing, when to me it just seems to be a cry for attention. I mean I'm gay but it doesn't define me, I'm not super flamboyant or anything, I'm just a man who happens to be homosexual. Nothing more nothing less. But it is absurd when people think being open about it gives some sort of special privilege or honor when it doesn't. So I agree with MarcSpaz, ok so he's gay but is he qualified?

On a side note I sometimes just want to look at these people that use race, sex, sexual orientation, or whatever else as a defining trait and ask, do you want a damn cookie? Honestly if they define themselves on a single trait then they're the most shallow people I've ever seen!

@Chasbo00: Thanks for the nightmare fuel!

In my view, the present administration has demonstrated again and again that it supports a set of values and a political agenda that is not only a threat to America as a society, but a threat to the entire world. But, that is the exact reason the puppet-handlers had Obama placed into power, isn't it? The Liberal agenda is alive and well in America. They will turn this once great country into a stinking, rotting hell-hole. You should plan on this happening, because it seems little is being done to counter it. Even Trump with all his "make America great again" hoopla will not be able to stop the damaging momentum that Obama and his Liberal vermin communist friends have started. If you need to ask me for supporting evidence or "links" you are not paying attention to current events and issues. God bless.

Marc and Kinetic both ask "Is he qualified?"

Truthfully, I haven't met the guy, nor have I researched him. I've been too busy researching things that are more personally and directly pressing in my immediate life.

However, given the qualifications of everyone else that the Emperor has appointed to various positions, I would have to guess no. In fact, considering that every single thing that Barry Soetoro has done, since the moment he was sworn in, seems designed to have a negative impact on the United States, I would have to assume that this particular appointee has been assigned a mission that will serve to dishonor, dismantle, and/or otherwise destroy our military for the purpose of further weakening our Nation.
