Trump position on 2nd Amendment

The Second Amendment to our Constitution is clear. The right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed upon. Period.
The Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that belongs to all law-abiding Americans. The Constitution doesn’t create that right – it ensures that the government can’t take it away. Our Founding Fathers knew, and our Supreme Court has upheld, that the Second Amendment’s purpose is to guarantee our right to defend ourselves and our families. This is about self-defense, plain and simple.

Wow. Its as if a Conservative wrote it!
I love the things Trump says. This position is a perfect example of what I want to see. Its just hard to believe he's not a Dem after leaving the Republican party for decades.
Cruz is my first choice. After that, who knows. But if Trump does what he says he's going to do, America will be great again.

That's what mean. That public position states. The opisite of what he. Has been saying with his mouth. And everyone has really short-term memory problems, cuz everyone seems to forget he was going to run for POTUS in the Dem primaries against Barry in 2007. It didn't work out cuz he jumped on the Birther bandwagon and he lost backing and popularity fast.

Until recently Trump has been anti gun. Now he wants our vote so he is only in favor of "reasonable, common sense gun restrictions".
If this election comes down to Hilary and Trump, for the first time in fifty-two years I won't vote. I can't hold my nose tight enough to vote for Hilary and I just won't vote for trump.

Trump is good for saying some things that need to be said and taking the heat from the PC crowd, opening the dialogue. Other runners need to pay attention to what, of Trump's statements, resonates with the voting base.

The problem being there will always be arguments against background checks because our current system is only as flawed as those who perform them and the fact that you cannot predict crazy. People will always end up killing people no matter what you do be by knife, bomb, fire, fists, or guns. Hell I can't think of a hundred ways to kill a mass of people without using a gun.
As for assault weapons, they're already banned. These meat heads seem to have forgotten that, unless they mean the semi-auto lookalikes. Which of course are just that, a sheep in wolf's clothing.
I like him because beyond that, because he is focusing on the greater threat of illegal immigration. Which has been causing more harm the US than any weapon ever could, economically they are devastating.

The only good thing about Trump is that he has knocked Jeb Bush completely out of the race. Jeb was going to make sure the illegal immigrant pipeline was busted wide open.
