Has anyone tried and evaluated any of the Vortex scopes?
Which one and what did u think?

I have two -
Razor HD Gen II 1-6x24, w/ JM reticle, on an AR I use for 3-gun. Cant say enough good about it - huge eye box at 1x, rugged as you'll ever find. Paid for it, but would not hesitate to buy another if I needed to.

Diamondback 2-7x35 Rimfire on one of my Ruger 10/22s. Nice scope for the money - parallax fixed @50 yards. Would buy again.

So I have a low end , and a high end Vortex. Like and can recommend them both. For the mid range, I just never have latched onto the Vipers. In that range I tend to gravitate towards Leupold. And other high range - not AR platform, I prefer other manufacturers as well.

I have a Vortex HS LR, and stand Viper 6.5-20x44. I got the Viper for $300, and for that price it's a really good scope. Half the cost of my VX-3, but not have to quality.

I also have a HS - LR 2.5x10x32 which I use for competitions on my AR. The XLR reticle with me shoot out to 600 yards with great accuracy and with ease. It's been a very good scope.

The only downside I've had, is when I first got the HS - LR the reticle was canted inside the scope. I sent it back to vortex, and got it back fixed within 2 weeks. Their customer service was great to deal with.

I love my Vortex scopes I as well have two. I have a Viper LR 6-24x50 mil dot on a custom Mosin I built. It is rugged and robust, I have dropped it once or twice, hasn't come off of Zero yet. And like the other guy above i can not say enough good things about their scopes. I have had the Viper about 4 years, have put about 5 or 600 rounds threw the gun, and it/I shot a 17" group at 825 yards.

The other is a CrossFire II 3-9x40, I just bought it and have yet to put it on the weapon or site it in. But if it is anything like the Viper, then i know I will not have to worry about it. Not to mention they come with a Life Time Warranty. Doesn't matter if it just breaks, or if you smash in on the ground, you just send it back and they will repair it or replace it at no cost, other than shipping. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has either some serious shooting in mind, or just wants a damn good scope.

have a few, mostly the mid-range. a few at the low end on some inexpensive rimfires.

I think they offer good value for their price, and have been happy with the models I've used. (crossfire, viper pst)

I have a Vortex Viper PST and it has been a great scope.

I have the same Crossfire II as tangodown on my .308. Great scope for the money. I was actually hanging around my LGS the other day and we got on the subject of best bang for your buck scopes and almost everyone agreed that Vortex was at the top or near the top of the list.

Another vote for the Viper PST. I've got one in 6-24 x 50 and the MOA reticle. Wonderful optic.

I have two Strike Eagle 1-6x scopes and they're great. I'm impressed with the clarity and field of view at 1x.

I got rid of a Crossfire II 2-7x32 Scout Scope because it had a poor field of view and a huge reticle. I went with a Leupold Freedom on my Ruger Scout rifle.
