UPS Refused to Deliver My Firearm Related Item

We, looks like I am going to have to find a new shipping company. UPS was typically pretty good and I had not had problems shipping firearms related items in the past... but they are burning me now.

I had a repair go to AAC. They shipped it back to me via UPS on Friday. I called today to get a tracking number, as I want to be sure I am here to receive it. AAC said that it was returned to them by UPS yesterday.

The UPS driver claimed he attempted to deliver the package 3 times, but no one was home, so it was returned to AAC.

We, if it was picked up for delivery on Friday, and returned to AAC on Monday, exactly what 3 days did UPS try to deliver it on? Even if it was magically instantly teleported to and from the terminal in Alexandria (closest to my house), the device was still in AAC's possession for 2 of the 4 days. There is no way it actually made it to VA, far as I can tell, much less 3 attempts to knock on my door.

Oh yea... and if they tried to do it over the weekend like they claim, there were 5 people home all day both Saturday and Sunday. I doubt none of us heard the door bell or a knock on the door. The dog didn't go nuts like he does every time someone is in the yard either.

Okay, I'm done venting. Oddly, I don't feel better. Maybe once my can get here I will.

I've had similar UPS snafu's but they weren't all firearm-related shipments. This could be just a lazy driver or some other one time deal. I actually drove to their terminal to pickup a package once and even the supervisor couldn't tell me what happened. Big Brown does get it right most of the time. Who knows what their problem was in your case.

Yea, I'm sure there are ramdom competency issues too. its that I don't believe them when they say "the driver made 3 attempts to deliver". If that is their office response, they're full of it.

Sorry... Their official response, not office.

Yeah, you better be careful messing with them. You don't want end up buried in an oil drum out in the Palisades like Jimmy Hoffa.

Oops, I probably shouldn't have divulged that. Never mind.

As long as I'm at least 500 yards from the parkway, I should be fine. I hate traffic.
