All the facts not in yet. But here is a case where the firing of the LEO was to appease the crowd. Makes me ill.

I believe incidents like this and the car dealership one are due to the military-style, fascist training doctrine that police are getting these days. Screaming orders at people and then shooting them for anything less than immediate, docile obedience is not the American way.

There are no good guys any more, and you can't trust the police, period.

I think that's one side of the coin. They've become way over zealous in the "no officer ever gets hurt....EVER". Look at what the doughnut dollies did in Fairfax - f'ing really? Show up like that for a supposed squatter? As you stated it seems the "all swat, all the time" mentality has gone too far.

On the flip side I see the current PC thought that "no black person should be shot...EVER....for ANY reason" . I'm sorry you start waving a gun around (even a fake or BB gun) when the police are present & the odds are high you're going take a few rounds. In a park or in your home, young or old it doesn't matter.

It's the matter of living between villainy from BOTH sides of the coin. How about everyone just calm down? I ain't gonna shoot you, don't shoot me, we'll discuss it.

It would be nice to know if this was in the home or at the home, as reported. The caller was a relative that was Taking her car keys because she could no longer drive...no report on his authority to do so.
The story is over a year old.

Nephew says the elderly lady fired two rounds before the policeman shot her.

I don't care you you are... if you think its police overstep and abuse of force for shooting someone to death who is shooting at the police officer... you're retarded. And I'll prove your are full of crap too. Come to my house, let my 89 year old grandma start shooing my 9mm at you and tell me what your reaction would be.

:hysterical: Exactly, can't even comprehend why anyone would think there'd be a different outcome. Start waving/firing guns & bad stuff is likely to happen....DUH. Same as the kid in Chicago - remove the orange indicator & start waving it around in public? Darwin wins another one.

It ticks me off when stories are not posted with a full set of facts.

I generally read several stories on the same subject, for that very reason, Bob.

Even then, I try to wait before forming an opinion; sometimes, more information comes out.

Also, I note that the media outlets that are local to the event are more likely to publish relevant facts that could change public perception of what went down.

Holy crap!!! That is a bunch of crap! The justice system needs to make an example of the criminal who attacked that LEO.
