At Elite Today - Who Was Next To Me?

Okay... I know whoever was at Elite Shooting Sports in the lane next to me today is a VGOF member. Has to be... and I have to know who it was. Something funny went down and I don't know if this guy even realizes it.
Before the story, I have to preface this with the point that I don't think this was being done on purpose, but the people around us seemed to think so.
There was a guy on lane 3-10 (50 yard range) who was wearing an ESS shirt and he had a male friend with him. My son came with me. We were on lane 3-9.
The friend of the guy was shooting a tan pistol. Sounded like a 22. Nick and I started on the G17. After we shot that for a few minutes, the guy kicked it up a notch with what looks and sounds like either a 40 or 45. Nick and I switch to the 40 S&W. Guy beside us switched to a hand cannon on wheels. Man, the revolver was bad-ass. Bi-pod, what looked like a red dot scope. Likely a 50 cal given how much my head hurt from the shock wave every time he fired.
So, I pull out my 300 Blackout SBR and some high pressure rounds. I send a few rounds down range to sight my iron sites after having some barrel work done. The guy beside me pulls out and M4 clone and starts sending rounds down range.
After I get my sights dialed at 50 yards, I zero the laser and reel in the target to 10 yards. Using just the laser, I bump fire the 300 BO a few times and the mag is empty. Probably ran about a 300-350 rpm cyclic rate. Guy beside me does the same thing, but more or less mag dumps the M4 on a bump fire.
I was paying attention just because I am a gun nut and I loved the stuff the guy had. But after he did his mag dump, I turned around to a small group of guys laughing saying that we put on a good show, but I lost the "who's pistol is bigger" and the "who's rifle is bigger" contest.
I just smiled and laughed a little, but then the guy beside me pulled out a bullpup. The group that have been watching were like "what are you gonna top that with?" I just shrugged my shoulders. They laughed and then left.
The whole situation was funny and awkward at the same time.
