Don't know if anyone else has been following this story... but you couldn't make this stuff up! :coffee:

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/201 ... weird.html

Guy found dead in his car near his home. Been there almost 2 weeks. Police search his townhouse find 1200 guns and 6½ tons of ammo... then it gets interesting!

Been telling his girlfriend of 17 years, that he is a secret agent man. Besides the guns and ammunition, had nearly a quarter million in cash, and 14 registered vehicles. Died in the car with his girlfriend, because he refused to go to the hospital or call 911. Told her to leave him, because the "agency" would take care of his body. She leaves him, and goes on a road trip. When she comes back, she finds out that his body hasn't been found, so she (wisely) finds a lawyer and informs the police.

If I had picked up a novel with this premise... I would have called it ridiculous!

But... it is Los Angeles....

Somewhere in the after life... Elmore Leonard is laughing his ass off, saying to an angel "DANG! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!?!?"

Sounds to me like this guy was a "Gun Nut".

This is awesome. Sounds like a guy who was living out a fantasy, and had the opportunity to die by it. If he was, in fact, dying anyway, he went out on his own terms.

I wonder; if he's got cars stashed all over the place, how much guns and ammo has he got stashed, that has yet to be found?

What do you think are the odds, that he has more than one girlfriend stashed away...?

Considering the Matt Helme/James Bond fantasy; yeah, he probably has an extra girl or two hiding somewhere.

Wonder how often he left town for business?

Makes you wonder if he had a rented storage locker or three somewhere in town? Can't wait to see that on Storage Wars.

This also reminds me that it's time to rotate the ammo (and girlfriend) stash. :dunno:

And it gets a little more bizarre:

Apparently, the dead guy was also an alien... of the outer space variety.

I love this story. My son says that this guy is the ultimate troll.

I always imagined that little green men from space would have more sophisticated weapons than a pallet of Hi-Points and 6.5 tons of bullets.

Now I am wondering what he looks like? Black suit and tie with white shirt and shades? ;-)

(shakes head) You know it's the "LEFT COAST", his level of weirdness may have NO bounds, and we may all be looking at abandoned cars MUCH differently!
