M&P9 Shield - Stubborn Frame Roll Pins

The 2 frame rolled steel pins in my M&P Shield are very, very stubborn. They do not seem to want to come out without exerting a tremendous amount of continuous force on the punch (in my estimation, more so than other handguns I've stripped).

I'm curious if anybody else has had similar expereinces with their Shield. I have been looking for distributors who offer replacement pins for M&P's that are not of a rolled steel variety (more traditional polymer pistol frame pins), but I have yet to find any solutions.
