I have a very common name, so when my CHL was taking a bit, I was beginning to wonder if wires got crossed. (They have in previous background checks and credit reports!) Ed pinged the Clerk on my behalf, and Clerk Clemens checked for me. As it turned out, it was already in the mail.
Well, I had a typo on my CHL - my mistake, I swapped two digits on the address. I emailed Clerk Clemens to ask how best to get it corrected, figuring there's a process to correct for people like me.
Not only did Mr Clemens take care of it PDQ, he just swung by and handed me my CHL in person. I have not seen that level of professional kindness in a public official since moving out of a little town down south 20 years ago. Amazing.
