Gen X'ers had nothing to fight for. How can you instill the lessons of history and the might of Americans when an entire generation was unmotivated and content to accept things as they are. That gave birth to Millennials becoming even more complacent. Now that there truly is something to fight for, they have been brainwashed into believing that standing for freedom, justice and independence makes them a spoiled racist who hordes everyone elses fair share.

At 42 I am a Gen X'er and certainly do not fit into the category above.

This sad situation is entirely the creation of the modern American Left Wing - based on the "cultural Marxism" of the Frankfurt School of communists started by Antonio Gramsci. This ideology is the entire driving force of the Democrat Party's strategy today.

The strategy is simple: Create a monopoly of schools controlled by government. Staff the "teachers" with thoroughly indoctrinated operatives. Keep children ignorant of the truth, and unable to reason. Indoctrinate them from early childhood. Then they will believe anything the government/Party tells them.

Without a major backlash soon, we are doomed.

I think the backlash is indeed coming... I'm hearing some particularly weird grumblings from Millenials that are "waking up".

Most realized they have been lied too their whole lives by the establishment, their progressive/communist parents, and the education system....

...and they're mad. (evil smirk) Nothing motivates like anger.

I just finished reading a nice article by Pat Buchanan.

If a family disagreed as broadly as we Americans do on issues so fundamental as right and wrong, good and evil, the family would fall apart, the couple would divorce, and the children would go their separate ways.

Same here... 42 and father 0f two. Like any other rule, there are always exceptions.

We don't pull out of this one. It will get progressively worse. World events are going to overtake us. The church is going to be raptured and once the salt of the earth is gone it'll really get bad as there will be no good restraining force left in the world. So get right with God and get ready because it's coming. There's really not much else to discuss...

Whining, special snowflake parents raised whining, special snowflake kids. How did this happen? Like every representative democracy that allows their representatives to sit in power too long, the powers got around to catering to the idiots. Hell, you could blame the Greatest Generation for raising self-indulgent Generation Me/Baby Boom hippies that raised self-indulgent Gen Xers that raised self-indulgent Gen Y/Millenials.

OTOH, that article is full of anti-American snark. The zingers about Assad? It's because the French and the British f*** up the Middle East and they want to point fingers at us. Even in our heyday of power post-WW2, we condemned the Brits when they screwed up the Canal situation. Why should we commit US blood to fix, yet again, a European-born issue? We should remind those warring factions over there that we weren't around, accept Israel, Merry Christmas, do what you gotta do, you French, British, Russians and Turks clean up your mess.
