I've seen some bad marketing ideas in my day... And that one makes the top 5. Imagine pulling your phone out and getting shot to death by a cop or citizen thinking they need to defend themselves? And I for one would have to say I would lean toward a justified shooting if I was on a jury.

I'm usually not a fan of big-brother telling us what to do, but I think in this case... they are giving out good advice.

Yeah, that's kinda stupid. I don't much care for pistol shaped cigarette lighters, either.

Doesn't matter whose mouth it comes from, "Don't do stupid stuff" is good advice

I hope these things sell like hotcakes and let Darwinism sort it out.

If I am going to have something on me that looks like a gun I want it to be a GUN . I'm just waiting for some "innocent black child" to whip one of these out and get his head blown off . Then the media will go into a frenzy and give them another excuse.

A kid that worked for me last summer had a "Machine Gun Fire " ring tone that he thought was funny. Then one day we were in Taco Bell and it went off....Not everybody thought it was as funny as he did. Some things are just a Bad Idea !

You're doing it wrong. The whole point is to buy a holster for your gun, that looks like a cell phone case!

Fox news said one of those cases even came with a "Russian roulette" app. Heck, just answering the phone with that thing is playing Russian roulette.

The manufacturer(s), seller(s) and users of these things are ALL et up with the dumbass, IMO.

Well, maybe from five or six years ago. I had a Blackberry that would have fit in there quite nicely.

I actually saw a guy wearing one of those recently. Being a gun person I knew exactly what it was.

I bought one, and SWMBO said it looked like an insulin pump. Sort of put me off of wearing it. In this small town where everybody sticks their nose in everybody else's business, the gossips would have me with 1 foot in the grave from "sugar".

Anybody asks about it tell them that insulin isn't the only prescription available, then roll your eyes back and exclaim, "Whee! There it goes!"

Now if Glock would make a pistol that looks like a phone....

They would not like that either.

I think by VA law, a Glock that looks like a phone would be considered a concealed weapon.

I once lived near a river where snow geese liked to hang out. The swans also hung out in the same area.

Someone killed a swan (no open season) and claimed he thought it was a snow goose.

The state in its great wisdom, rather than make an example of the idiot, made it illegal to hunt snow geese in the area.

A few years later another idiot came along and killed a snow goose. He claimed he thought it was a Canada Goose, which were legal to hunt.

The state in its great wisdom, rather than make an example of the idiot, made it illegal to hunt Canada Geese.

There is no end to the stupidity. Illegal to hunt geese to protect the swans!

They are already expelling children from school if they take several bites out of their poptart and the result is shaped like a gun.

I am not a fan of new laws but maybe somewhere it should say, "Using any object that resembles a weapon to commit a crime reaps the same penalty as commiting the crime with the actual weapon.
However, if anyone misconstrues the object or what it is being used for through their own imagination, they will be liable for any funds expended by law enforcement or the person eating the poptart."
