The ongoing humanitarian crisis at the US-Mexico border has always been a problem, but it wasn’t until the last few years under Obama that it’s raised to a level that is for the most part overwhelming. There comes a point where you have to ask yourself this question even though it hurts, who comes first our American children or the South American and Mexican children. With the economy almost to the breaking point and the GDP not rising above 0.05% for the last three years, a logical decision needs to be made and not a political one, which is what this post is all about. The bottom line is where to you draw the line between America’s wellbeing and other countries wellbeing.

Yes we all are immigrants one way or another, but I ask you this, if you had ONLY one choice and it was between giving aid to your son, daughter or grandchild or giving aid to a child from Mexico or South America, because your funds don’t allow you to do both, which do you give aid to?

It’s the same as my remarks; America needs to look out after their own first. The world is a very bad & mean place I know, I’ve seen it up close and personal and you need to understand it, everything can’t be as we wish it to be, the world just doesn’t work that way. People you really need to open your eyes and watch the news once & a while.

That's an easy question for me. Americans come first.

We are not in a position to care for the rest of the world.

We, as a nation, have come to the rescue for millions of people over the years. We have thoroughly defeated nations in wars, then rebuilt them and gave them back.

We owe the world nothing. We are now in a bad spot, so we need to concentrate on ourselves. If we fall, the rest of the world has no hope. If we can fix what's wrong with us, we can help later. Maybe we can find a more effective way to help in the future.

But right now, Americans must come first.

Many decades ago... when working on my lifeguard certificate, I learned that your first responsibility is your own safety because if you get in trouble a) you can't save anyone else, and b) you've given someone else two problems.

Good analogy, Ironbear; that's pretty much what I was getting at.
