Springfield XD Mod.2 9mm around Charlottesville?

Hi,
I am looking for the above gun to fire before I buy. I shot and really liked the XD(M) 3.8” Compact and want to know if the shorter non-matched barrel will shoot nearly as well. If you have one for sale or that I could fire a few times would you please reply?
