This is a theory that I have heard floating around. Andrew Wilkow made a similar suggestion.

I disagree, I think it's very much worth it! If you get the NATIONAL Reciprocity from this ruling.

Then it'll force all the Anti-gun legislation to come under the pervue of the 14th Amendment, not the 2nd! BIG difference!

Because then it's the "Freedome to be who you are, and what you love."

I'll marry my 1911 if it means I can carrry that thing EVERYWHERE I go!

The 2nd stands on it's own. The 14th is a Reconstruction Amendment that has been stretched beyond it's intent.

My question is, why twist the 14th Amendment into saying something it doesn't, when the 9th Amendment was written exactly for situations like this.

Wishful thinking and a VERY flimsy argument. It's easy for us lay-people to try to connect things in logical ways, but "The Law" is not very logical.
