Ah but you can give people the finger all day, even to cops, and they can't do anything. And just how do they define swearing? Are the words bitch and jackass/jennyass banned because they actually refer to dogs and donkeys. So calling people those while rude is not technically swearing, it would be the same as me calling someone a dog or mule headed.

nope, was pulled over for just that act. I figured the sedan driver who cut me off while I was riding needed to be reminded he was #1 in my world.

Never asked for any paper work from me, so as he started to yell I was fairly sure this was a non-ticket, "I am the law" speech, and it was going to be easier to let him vent than try and do something else.

He was plan clothed, so no name tag, it was dark, badge was too far away and under too large of a belly to get a number, so there really was no recourse to report him. It was my last day in Arlington for work, so I just said good by and let it be. It must suck to go through life with so much anger. So I let him yell for a few minutes, and then rode home.

Yet another example of badge bullies.

oh, I can swear and curse how much I want. In my mother tongue. The opponent can easily deduct what I say, but he can't complain

I have always taught my kids that words are just sounds, and the sounds them selves have no insult. You don't curse by what you say... you curse by what you imply when you speak/write.

Every been in a family establishment with certain types of guys, who talk more for the benefit of those around them than for those they're talking *to*? These guys are often drunk and streaming out the nigga-b1tch-motherf$cker stuff, and this law is almost exclusively used in these scenarios.

Seems like you shouldn't need a law for that, but with Arlington's own little pocket-ghettos, DC and PG County, MD in such close proximity its apparently sometimes an issue.

No one has been fined for stubbing their toe and swearing or even for simply telling someone to "f$ck off".

I wouldn't get too worked up about anything from The Daily Caller; they're as ridiculous in their analyses as RT, al Jazeera or MSNBC.

It's not the cursing I find appalling it's the cursing in front of women and children I find offensive. If that's all the respect you have for them then you need your ass kicked!
